EIGHT CLIPS FROM BLACK SWAN!!!

EIGHT, yes eight new clips have surfaced for the Darren Aronofsky directed, psychological thriller, 'Black Swan' starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis and opening in theaters this Friday. I am so excited for this film, are you?!?!?!

I had gone to the movies to see the new 'Harry Potter' film, but of course it was sold out at 11:15pm on a Monday. So the only other film I was interested in seeing that was playing, was 'Love and Other Drugs' but unfortunately I missed the first 15 minutes of the film, because I had no intention of seeing it that night, so this review is taken 15 minutes after it started, hopefully I didn't miss anything good. Anyways, 'Love and Other Drugs' stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Jamie Randall, a sales rep for the drug Zoloft. He tries to sell drugs and get with girls. He gets with girls a whole lot easier. He is a player, until his encounter with Maggie Murdock. Anne Hathaway portrays Maggie, a free spirited, loveable woman who starts off as every guy's dream. She just wants to hook up and have no relationship. No strings attached. Jamie enjoys that and starts to see her all the time. They have a strictly physical relationship, until Jamie starts to realize he may be falling for her, something he has never felt ever in his life. The audience learns from early on that Maggie has Parkinsons Disease. At times, she becomes angry and frustrated that she can't do a lot of things herself (i.e. pick up a scissor and cut paper, open a pill bottle, etc.) she has a ton of issues and insecurities because she doesn't want anyone to worry or care for her. Can Maggie and Jamie hold a relationship knowing the disease will get worse, or will it tear up their relationship and destroy them forever?

Franco and Hathaway Host the 2011 Oscars!!!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this morning, that actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco will host the 83rd Academy Awards on February 27, 2011.
The producers of the awards show said the following, “James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons — fresh, exciting and multi-talented, we hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on Feb. 27.”

Megamind!!!

'Megamind' stars Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt in a hilarious animated feature. Megamind(Ferrell) is an alien who gets shipped out of his planet and onto Earth. He lands in a prison yard. The last thing his parents say to him as a baby is that he is destined..., and they never say what. After being raised in a prison he learns only evil and therefore becomes very evil and somewhat illiterate. He is convinced that his parents said that he was destined to be evil. Metro Man(Pitt) was shipped out of the same planet at the same time as Megamind but gets sent to a loving family on Earth. Metro Man does nothing but good deeds and gets everything handed to him on a silver platter. Metro Man and Megamind battle all the time and Metro Man always wins. Until one day, Megamind destroys Metro Man and Metro City has to face the harsh reality that evil will soon take over the great city Metro Man once saved time and time again. Can someone stop the evil workings of Megamind and save Metro City or will Megamind conquer and destroy the city for good?

Charlie St. Cloud!!!

The film, 'Charlie St. Cloud' is based off the Ben Sherwood novel, 'The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud'. The title character stars the ever so talented Zac Efron. Charlie is graduating highschool and decided to go away to college on a sailing scholarship. After graduation, Charlie sneaks out of the house to meet friends-which is only what I assume, they never really say where he is going-and Sam(Charlie Tahan), his 11 year old brother asks him to drop him off with his friends. Throughout the drive they talk, play fight and somehow a car hits them from behind, they are okay but seconds later a truck rams into them from the passenger side, killing them both. Fortunately, Charlie was saved by the paramedic Florio Ferrente(Ray Liotta) but Sam could not be saved. The rest of the film takes place five years after the death of Charlie's brother and how he is coping and living with the guilt.

Females That Are Being Considered For The Dark Knight Rises!!!

An actress short list for Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises' has turned up online.
Actresses that Nolan has been rumored to have met with include Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz. Supposedly, Nolan is casting for two different female roles, one that will hold Bruce Wayne's romantic interest and one that will be a villain.
'The Dark Knight Rises' returns with the all-star cast of Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman as well as the recently-announced Tom Hardy in an unspecified role. The film will go into production shortly with a release planned for July 20, 2012.

Who do you want to star alongside Bale in the 3rd installment of the Batman franchise? I would really like to see Blake Lively as a villain because she is already starring with Ryan Reynolds in 'The Green Lantern' and although I don't know much about that film or comic, my guess is that she is his romantic interest. I'd also like to see Natalie Portman portray someone in this film, she is incredible and I think she could bring a lot to the table. Share your thoughts, please!

It has finally been confirmed that the female lead, Daisy Buchanan, who Gatsby falls in love and begins an affair with, will be portrayed by Carey Mulligan. She will join Leonardo DiCaprio who is portraying Gatsby and rumors are swirling that Tobey Maguire may be stepping in as Nick Carraway, the novel's narrator and best friend to Gatbsy. Carey Mulligan has been very busy lately. Nominated for an Oscar for last year's 'An Education' then starring in 'Never Let Me Go' which already stirred up Oscar buzz this fall with Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield. She also had another film out this September that she starred with her then-beau Shia LaBeouf and Oscar Winner Michael Douglas in 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.' According to imdb.com her next project is 'Drive' starring Ryan Gosling and Christina Hendricks and most likely 'The Great Gatsby' will be after that now that some of the cast is almost completely confirmed.

The Lovely Bones!!!

'The Lovely Bones' stars Saoirse Ronan as a young 14 year old girl named Susie Salmon who is murdered in December of 1973. She narrates throughout the whole movie and watches over her family and her creepy murderer while she stays in between heaven and earth. She has unfinished business on earth which forces her not to advance into heaven just yet. Mark Wahlberg stars as Jack, Susie's father, and after he learns that Susie is missing he goes on a hunt to find out what happened and who killed her. The film is based off the novel of the same name written by Alice Sebold.
