The Man Behind The Oscar Statue

50/50 is directed by Jonathan Levine and written by Will Reiser, who the story is loosely based off of. The film focuses on Adam, portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt who is a 27 year old man diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer and is given a 50/50 chance of survival rate.

The Artist!!!


The Artist is written and directed by Michel Hazanavicius and stars Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo. The film concentrates on George Valentin (Dujardin) a Hollywood silent film star who struggles with the thought that ‘talkies’ will take over the film business.

The Help!!!



The Help is based off the novel written by Kathryn Stockett and is directed by Tate Taylor and stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Bryce Dallas Howard. The film focuses on a young girl, Skeeter, portrayed by Stone, who returns from college in hopes to be a writer. When she returns home she discovers that her maid, who practically raised her, is no longer home. Enraged, confused and determined, she is inspired to write a book from the point of view of the African-American maids during the 1960’s civil rights movement.

We Bought A Zoo!!!


We Bought a Zoo is directed by Cameron Crowe and stars Matt Damon, Thomas Hayden Church and Scarlett Johansson. The film is based off the book by Benjamin Mee and centers around a family that struggles with a loss and is desperately seeking for change. Matt Damon portrays Benjamin Mee as a young father who loses his wife and decides to pick up and move with his two young children to a house that is set on the property of a zoo.

My Week With Marilyn!!!


In the year 1957, Sir Laurence Olivier (portrayed by Kenneth Branagh) began directing and acting in a film originally entitled, ‘The Sleeping Prince.’ A young 23 year old film student, Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), was determined to have some part in Olivier’s films. After days of not giving up, Olivier granted him the position of third assistant to the director. As his days on set began, he grew more and more fascinated and excited of what to come. ‘My Week with Marilyn’ focuses on the time Clark spent with the ever so famous Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) during the shoot of the film later called, ‘The Prince and the Showgirl.’

The Tree of Life is written and directed by Terrence Malick and stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain. The film centers around a family in the 1950s and follows the eldest son, Jack (Hunter McCracken) as he slowly discovers the innocence of his childhood is slipping away.
