Nicholas Sparks has brought lovebirds everywhere another new
novel-turned-film entitled The Lucky One.
This time the film stars High School
Musical’s Zac Efron and up-and-coming actress Taylor Schilling in a tale
about a young Marine who believes that finding a picture of a beautiful girl,
in the middle of a war zone, was what saved his life. Logan (Efron) serves
three tours in Iraq
and after finally being sent home, he is unsure as to where he truly belongs.
He is mentally and emotionally confused and lost. He decides to set his sights
on the ‘angel’ in the picture and thank her for bringing him home to safety.
But, when he finally reaches Beth (Schilling) events don’t go as planned, and
what seemed simple turns into a complicated situation.

Take a Hike
Mark Blitch has created another hilarious short film starring Taylor Brandt and Todd Terry. Take a Hike centers around Adam (Brandt) charming his hopefully soon-to-be father-in-law David (Terry) into the wilderness to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Adam hopes to spend time with David, in anticipation that he will enjoy his company and approve Adam’s desire to marry his daughter. Events take a slight turn for the worst and Take a Hike has the audience constantly guessing what the final outcome will be.
Take a Hike is
literally a laugh out loud comedy filled with great acting and beautiful scenic
shots. Blitch has the ability to create such a wonderful dynamic between Adam
and David in the enchanting wilderness. The acting is superb, Brandt is perfect
as the young, boyish Adam that can’t seem to do anything right and Terry is
delightful as the protective father wanting only the best for his daughter. The
emotional range both actors garner is remarkable and captivating to witness.
Take a Hike won
two awards for Best Comedy and Best Screenplay Comedy and was nominated for a
total of twelve awards at the 168 Festival in LA. The film is not only funny
but beautifully heartfelt. It encompasses an array of emotions in just the
eleven minutes that it is presented. Both actors do a magnificent job, making
the audience root for them both. Please check out Take a Hike today and ‘like’ them on facebook!!!
