Blue Valentine!!!
Director Derek Cianfrance's 'Blue Valentine' is a peek into the realistic view of a rocky marriage in today's world. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams star as Dean and Cindy, husband and wife who have a young child and are struggling to keep their marriage alive. Williams portrays Cindy as a smart, motivated nurse who strives to better herself and care for her family. Gosling portrays Dean as a laid back, lazy painter who is in capable of being a mature adult. Can Dean and Cindy fight to save their marriage for the sake of their little girl, Frankie or will it just spiral downwards like majority of the marriages in today's day and age?

The Green Hornet!!!
The Michael Gondry directed film, 'The Green Hornet' is unlike any other superhero action flick. The film stars the goofy, funny guy Seth Rogen as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet and Jay Chou as Kato. They aspire to be 'vigilante superheroes' but they actually have no idea what they are doing and who to even save. Their plan in the beginning is to come off as bad guys but save everyone in the end, but as usual things don't always go according to plan. There is a girl in this story, Lenore Case, (Cameron Diaz) but she is definitely no damsel in distress, she is actually the brains behind the whole operation, making the film even more interesting to watch. Kato and Britt's plan backfires and the city is starting to turn into ruins due to evil drug lord, Chudnofsky (Christophe Waltz) who decides to create an army of people to try and take down The Green Hornet and his sidekick Kato. Can Chudnofsky get his way or will The Green Hornet and Kato get together and actually save the day?

Hathaway and Hardy Join the Dark Knight Rises
It has been announced that Anne Hathaway will portray Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in the third film of the Christopher Nolan directed franchise. Nolan is glad to have her on board he said, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story."
Tom Hardy who portrayed Eames in Nolan's brilliant mind boggling film, 'Inception' is portraying the villian, Bane, in the upcoming action flick. Nolan said, "I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies."
'The Dark Knight Rises' will be released on July 20, 2012.
What do you think of this casting decision? I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with the decision of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, but I'm really excited to see what Tom Hardy will have in store for us. No one can top Health Ledger's performance in 'The Dark Knight' but I'm interested to see what will occur in the third film.

Another A Star is Born Remake
Aren't there enough remakes of the film, 'A Star is Born'? Clint Eastwood is going to direct the remake that has Beyonce' as the lead role. No word on who will be the male lead, but filming is likely to begin in the fall.
What do you think?? Should they make another remake of this film?? So far, there are 3 versions of this film, the 1937 version with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, the 1954 version starring Judy Garland and James Mason, and the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. If you have not seen any of these versions I definitely recommend the 1954 film starring Garland and Mason. It's an incredible film and it received 6 Oscar nominations, both Garland and Mason were nominated along with nominations for best music. Garland and Mason also each won a Golden Globe for their performances.

Elijah Wood to Play Frodo in The Hobbit!!!
Recently, it was announced that Sir Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis will be reprising their roles as Gandalf and Smeagol/Gallum in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit.' But, now it has been announced that Elijah Wood will reprise his role as Frodo Baggins in the prequel. Elijah Wood recently said in a interview with IGN,
"No, we thought we were finished and the character doesn't even exist in [the book of] The Hobbit, so it was not even a pipe dream to imagine the possibility would be there for me to reprise the role of Frodo. But they've come up with something that I think is kind of interesting and I think very fitting that doesn't necessarily infringe upon the integrity of the original novel. It's great. I'm really excited.
Those films marked a huge, massive experience in my life. It's been 11 years, basically, since I went to New Zealand, so it'll be a beautiful reunion and I'm just excited to go back and see everybody again."
Although he did not go into much detail as to where his character would fit into the films he did say he won't get much screen time stating, "I think it'll be relatively minimal. That's my impression. I actually haven't read anything yet. I haven't read a script."
